T8 Sit-Stand Workstations and SL Office Desks in Kuwait

Different working positions do not always need the same furniture configuration. Some benefit from adjustable desktops and stronger visual boundaries; others suit facing desks with lower screens. Storage, electrical access and finishes still need to work consistently across both.
For this enterprise office in Kuwait, M&W supplied T8 screen workstations with height-adjustable desks alongside SL fixed-height workstations. Overhead cabinets, open shelves and under-desk storage completed the working positions, while coordinated woodgrain surfaces, black frames and green screens connected the different configurations.

- M&W Services: Furniture selection, finish coordination, configuration renderings, production and supply, shipping arrangements and installation guidance
M&W supplied the desks, screens, chairs, overhead cabinets, shelves, drawer units and meeting furniture. The full-height glass partitions and architectural wood wall finishes visible in the photographs were outside M&W’s supply scope.
The furniture package focused on creating complete working positions within the existing interior.
02 | Combining T8 Screens with Adjustable Desktops
A workstation needs to establish a personal working area without forcing every position into the same enclosure. It also needs to accommodate the way the desktop is used.
The T8 configuration combines surrounding screens with height-adjustable desks. Corner work surfaces extend in two directions, providing space for equipment and documents, while desktop height can be adjusted for seated or standing use.
The screens remain separate from the moving desktop. Taller sections provide stronger visual separation around selected boundaries, while lower returns keep the workstation entrance more open. Translucent upper panels soften direct views through the screens without enclosing the position as a room.
This variation addresses the limitations of a single screen height. The back of a workstation can support a more substantial boundary and storage arrangement, while the entrance side can remain lower and easier to approach.
The result is a defined personal position that combines visual screening with desktop adjustment. The screen configuration and desk function are coordinated, rather than requiring the same furniture treatment throughout the office.

03 | Integrating Overhead, Open and Under-Desk Storage
A large desktop does not remove the need for storage. Without suitable places for files and personal items, the work surface can become the default location for everything.
M&W combined three storage types within the T8 workstations. Overhead cabinets provide enclosed storage above the desk. Open shelves offer accessible positions for items that need to remain visible or close at hand. Under-desk drawer units provide additional personal storage near the seated user.
This distributes storage across the workstation instead of relying on one cabinet type. It also makes use of the vertical area provided by the taller T8 screens.
The overhead cabinets and shelves are fixed elements, while the desktop below them moves. Their relationship therefore needs attention during configuration and installation. The desktop’s travel, equipment height, shelf position and cabinet underside must be considered together. Drawer-unit placement also needs to leave room for the desk mechanism and the user’s legs.
The project renderings show these components as one arrangement, making the relationship between screening, storage and the adjustable desk easier to review. The installed photographs retain that combination of woodgrain overhead storage, open shelves and dark drawer units.

04 | Using SL Fixed-Height Workstations as a Complementary Option
The office also includes SL fixed-height desks in a facing workstation arrangement. This provides a different configuration from the more enclosed T8 positions.
The SL desks use lower desktop screens to establish a front boundary between facing users. These screens interrupt direct views across the work surfaces while maintaining an open relationship above and around the desks.
Black mobile drawer units provide storage beneath the woodgrain desktops. Their positions can be considered alongside chair access and available legroom, keeping the furniture combination practical at each seat.
Using both configurations avoids imposing one desk format on every part of the project. T8 combines adjustable desktops, taller screening and overhead storage. SL provides fixed-height work surfaces with lower screens and under-desk storage.
The distinction comes from the furniture itself, without assigning unconfirmed job roles or departments to either area. Both configurations provide individual working positions, with different levels of enclosure, storage and desktop adjustment.
05 | Coordinating Finishes, Power and Configuration Renderings
Different desk systems can make an office appear fragmented when their finishes are selected independently. Here, recurring woodgrain desktops, black structures and green screen surfaces connect the T8 and SL areas.
The renderings explored more than one green tone. They allowed the appearance of each workstation configuration to be reviewed alongside its chairs, storage and desk structure. The completed photographs provide the reference for the final installed finish combination.
Taller T8 screens and lower SL desktop screens use colour at different scales. Their related palette helps maintain continuity, while the woodgrain surfaces add warmth and the black frames give both configurations a consistent outline.
Electrical provision was included with every workstation and conference table. For the sit-stand desks, cable length and routing need to accommodate desktop movement. Connections should be checked through the operating range so that leads do not become tight or catch on fixed storage.
M&W supplied project-specific renderings without producing a CAD layout. Production, shipping arrangements and installation guidance supported the confirmed furniture package, keeping the desk systems, accessories and finishes within one coordinated supply scope.
Project Outcome
The completed office brings together two distinct workstation approaches. T8 screens combine with sit-stand desks and layered storage to create more enclosed individual positions. SL fixed-height desks provide facing workstations with lower screens and personal drawer units.
Shared finishes connect the configurations, while power outlets form part of the working setup throughout. The project demonstrates how different desk functions, screen heights and storage arrangements can be combined within one office furniture package.
