A modular office desk system uses compatible desks, frames and accessories to create individual workstations or connected team layouts. Unlike purchasing unrelated desks separately, a desk system makes it easier to keep dimensions, finishes and workspace configurations consistent across an office.
“Desk system” is the broader category and may include individual desks, connected workstations, high tables and different geometric arrangements. Benching is one specific type of desk system in which several employees share a continuous or connected workstation. The right choice depends on team size, privacy needs and the office layout.
Linear and face-to-face workstations make efficient use of rectangular spaces, while 120-degree and shaped configurations can support different team groupings or room geometries. Start with the floor plan, required number of seats and main walkways rather than choosing a layout by appearance alone.
The number depends on the usable floor area, desk dimensions and the space required for chairs, walkways, storage and doors. Send M&W your CAD drawing or a dimensioned floor plan together with the target number of employees. The layout can then be checked before product quantities are confirmed.
Some modular desk systems can support more than one configuration, but the extent of future changes depends on the selected series, frame structure and available components. If you expect to add employees or reorganize teams, mention this during planning so the initial layout can take possible expansion into account.
Compatible power and cable-management options may include desktop sockets, wire boxes and under-desk cable routing. The available setup varies by desk series and project requirements. Plan the location of floor or wall power supplies before confirming the workstation layout, and verify that socket specifications suit the destination market.
The Desk System range includes fixed-height arrangements as well as selected height-adjustable products, such as the M4S2 Motor Lift. Availability, lifting range and workstation configuration depend on the specific model. Confirm how many users need sit-stand functionality before selecting the system.
Available dimensions, finishes and configurations vary by product series and order requirements. Share your preferred appearance, workstation quantity and floor plan so suitable options can be reviewed together. For custom requirements, technical feasibility should be confirmed before the quotation and production details are finalized.
Depending on the selected series, a project may include desk screens, pedestals, cabinets, power sockets and cable-management accessories. Decide what employees need to store and which equipment they use at each workstation. This helps avoid adding accessories that take up space without solving a daily need.
Provide a floor plan or room dimensions, target number of workstations, preferred desk configuration and delivery destination. It also helps to include required storage, desk screens, power access, finishes and reference images. With this information, M&W can recommend relevant desk systems and prepare a more accurate quotation.
