Office stools are suitable for high tables, office bars, pantry areas, cafés, collaborative spaces, training rooms and temporary work points. Their compact design makes them especially useful in spaces that need flexible seating without the visual weight of a standard office chair.
Measure the vertical distance from the floor to the underside of the tabletop, then leave enough space for the user’s legs. As a general planning principle, the seat should normally be around 25–30 cm below the tabletop. Always compare the stool’s exact seat height with the actual table dimensions before ordering.
Counter-height stools are designed for lower counters or elevated worktables, while bar-height stools have a higher seat for taller bar tables. These terms are not always used consistently by different suppliers, so buyers should compare the actual seat height and table height rather than relying only on the product name.
Backless stools are compact, easy to move and can often be stored under a table when not in use. Stools with a low or full backrest provide additional support and are generally more suitable when users will remain seated for longer periods. The decision should reflect both comfort needs and available space.
A footrest gives users a stable place to support their feet when the seat is too high for them to reach the floor. This can reduce pressure under the thighs and improve sitting comfort. For shared commercial spaces, the footrest should also be securely connected and positioned at a practical height.
Adjustable-height stools can accommodate different users and work surfaces, making them useful in shared offices, training spaces and flexible collaboration areas. However, a fixed-height stool may be more appropriate when all tables have the same height and simpler maintenance is preferred.
Check the width and structure of the base, the connection between the seat and frame, the strength of the footrest and the condition of the floor-contact points. For commercial projects, buyers should also confirm the model’s load rating and available test information instead of judging stability by appearance alone.
The spacing depends on the width of the stool and how it will be used. Each user should have enough room to sit down, turn and leave without disturbing the person beside them. When planning a row of stools, also consider armrests, swivel movement and the circulation space behind the seats.
Cleaning methods depend on the seat material. Plastic and coated metal surfaces can usually be wiped with a soft cloth and mild neutral cleaner, while upholstered seats should be maintained according to the fabric or leather specification. Footrests, fasteners and floor glides should be checked regularly in high-use areas.
Selected stool models may support different seat colors, upholstery materials, frame finishes or base configurations. For project orders, provide the required quantity, table height, intended application, preferred colors and destination so M&W can confirm suitable options, minimum order quantities and production lead times.
