Office Seating

Look at staff and supervisor chairs designed for desk work. When comparing models, check the seat dimensions, back support and which adjustments are available. If several people will use the same chair, adjustability may be especially useful because each person can set it up to suit them.

These categories help you narrow down where a chair might be used, but the name alone does not tell you how it will feel. Staff chairs are commonly chosen for shared work areas; supervisor and executive chairs may suit private offices or different design preferences. Compare the dimensions, materials and features of individual models before deciding.

Check the desk height and the space underneath it, then compare those measurements with the chair’s seat-height range and armrest dimensions. Also allow room for the chair to move back without blocking a walkway or another workstation. If you have a floor plan and desk specifications, share them when selecting chairs.

It depends on how the room is used. For frequent, longer meetings, you may want to compare support and adjustment features more closely. For shorter meetings or rooms where chairs are moved often, consider the chair’s size, mobility and how many will fit around the table. The seating should work with the table and leave enough room to move.

Start with the number of participants and how often the room layout changes. Check whether people need to write, use laptops or move between group activities. If storage space matters, ask whether the specific training chair can be stacked or nested; these features vary by model.

Think about how many people usually use the area and how long they stay. Lounge chairs can provide separate seats, while sofas may suit a larger shared seating area. Measure the available space, including walkways, and consider how the upholstery will fit the look and everyday use of the office.

Consider where the chair will be used and how it will be cleaned. A chair in a reception area may face different wear from one at an employee desk. Ask for the upholstery and care information for the models you’re considering, then choose a material that suits your cleaning routine and the look you want.

Yes. You can select chairs based on what each area needs, then look for colors, materials or design details that work together. For example, task chairs may suit desks, conference chairs the meeting room, and softer seating the reception area. Sharing your floor plan and preferred style makes it easier to compare them as one project.
