Start with what each area needs. Call center workstations suit teams with many individual seats. Modular cubicles can divide an open office into work areas, while private cubicles offer a more enclosed space. If you only need separation between existing desks, desk screens may be enough. Your floor plan and desired level of privacy will help narrow the choice.
That depends on the room dimensions, cubicle sizes and the space needed for chairs, walkways and access to doors or storage. Share a floor plan and your target number of seats so the layout can be checked before you settle on a cubicle configuration. The aim is to fit the workstations while keeping the office practical to use.
A modular cubicle generally uses panels to define an individual or shared workstation within a larger office. A private cubicle creates a more enclosed work area; some models include a door. The right choice depends on how much visual separation you need, whether people need to move between seats easily, and how the area will be used.
Cubicle panels can create separation between workstations, but an open-top cubicle should not be treated as a soundproof room. How much noise it reduces depends on the panel material, height and overall layout. If conversations must remain private, explain that requirement before choosing a system so you can review more suitable options.
It may be possible to add desk screens or plan new cubicles around some existing furniture, but compatibility needs to be checked first. Send the desk dimensions, photos and a floor plan, including the positions of power outlets. That helps determine whether the existing desks can be used and what type of separation will fit.
Plan power access before finalizing the cubicle layout. Note how many people will use each area, what equipment they need and where the building’s power connections are located. Power and cable-management options vary by system, so confirm the available configuration for the cubicle model you choose.
Some modular systems allow different configurations, but the changes you can make depend on the specific model, available components and the space around it. If you expect to add seats or rearrange teams, mention that during planning. It is easier to consider future changes when choosing the layout and components from the start.
A floor plan, target seat count and the type of work each area will support are the best starting points. It also helps to share your preferred cubicle height, need for doors or desk screens, power requirements and delivery destination. If you have a reference image, include it so the proposed layout and product style are easier to discuss.
